Back to the Future 2021

Since 2019, Lorenzo Giusti has been the coordinator of the Back to the Future section of Artissima Fair in Turin, dedicated to the rediscovery of prominent figures, forerunners of new artistic languages. Back to the Future  presents monographic projects by pioneers of contemporary art of the last century, who are still active today. The section hosts artworks realised starting from 1960 in dialogue with recent artworks, and it aims to bring international artists who have played a fundamental role in contemporary art back into the limelight. The 2021 edition, co-curated with Mouna Mekouar, has been hosted on the Artissima XYZ digital platform, accompanied in 2021 by a physical collective display within the exhibition pavilion.
