Coordinated by Sileno Salvagnini and promoted by the University of Siena’s School of Specialisation in Art History as part of its scientific-training activities, a conference dedicated to the relationship between the thought of Antonio Banfi (Vimercate 1886-Milan 1957) and the contemporary figurative arts was held in the Certosa di Pontignano in 2006. To which Gabriele Scaramuzza, Simona Chiodo, Andrea Pinotti, Fulvio Papi and Enrico Crispolti, Raffaele De Grada, Marisa Dalai Emiliani, Antonello Negri, Alessandro Del Puppo, Lorenzo Giusti, Massimo Bignardi and Salvagnini himself contributed.
