Pedagogy of Hope. GAMeC’s 2026 Programme

GAMeC’s “Pedagogy of Hope” programme will be inaugurated on Tuesday, February 24, at 7:00 PM. Inspired by Paulo Freire’s critical pedagogy, this 2026 initiative explores the museum’s educational role as an agent of change within the city, engaging with diverse publics and local communities through participatory practices and collective learning.

The launch features the opening of “Eau” by Angolan-Portuguese artist Ana Silva, her first solo exhibition in an Italian institution. Developed in collaboration with local female embroiderers, Silva’s textile works denounce water scarcity and reveal a reality in which water is considered a privilege rather than a right.
